Inspection of power distribution facilities and analyzing the result data for maintenance purpose were the domain of well trained, skilled, and experienced workforces, which take a lot of money and time to create those skilled workforces, and inspecting and analyzing time itself was also very time-consuming.
 

Even though the existing inspection method requires a significant amount of resources, the result of the existing inspection largely depends on individual ability, which results in subjective data analysis, and in turn, impacts the consistency of the result.

TADS offers an effective solution to this problem by making breakthroughs in algorithm & software and hardware. With advanced algorithm and software, TADS(Thermography Auto Analysis/Diagnosis System) enables non-expert to analyze the result data approximately 100 times faster than existing method conducted by experts by using the auto-analysis program, which automatically adjusts level & span of IR images, detects defective components of the facility, and convert the analyzed data into a database.

In addition, the hardware of TADS provides diagnosticians a safe and convenient environment by enabling them to inspect power facilities inside of the vehicle while driving and make the diagnosis process faster due to non-stop and in-vehicle diagnosis. Diagnosticians who performed in the existing method had to expose their body to take thermal images while driving, which put them an inherent risk for conducting a diagnosis and had to stop and get off the vehicle when they found abnormal or possibly abnormal components to take clear thermal images.
