High Speed Source Transfer Circuit Breaker
The HSSB is a specially designed source transfer circuit breaker for important loads like hospitals, commercial buildings, government offices, stadiums, water pumping stations, etc.
Non-SF6, solid insulation, vacuum circuit breaker with 3 position disconnecting switch
•Non-SF6, epoxy insulation
•Metallic shield
•No external busbar connection (one mold, 3 way switches)
•3 position disconnecting switch: ON,OFF, Earth
•Solves the unstable insulation problem of vacuum interrupters
•Safety interlock between circuit breaker and disconnecting switch
•2 CB with 2 disconnectors and 1 Tee-off disconnector
Ultra high fast source transfer
•From voltage sag to completion of source transfer takes less than 5 cycles
•3 phase outage time can be within 1 cycle (in many cases, the computers are still running)
Tee-off circuit protection
•The CB protects the Tee-off circuit from phase, ground faults.
•If the fault is on the load side, the fault will be isolated, and the transfer will be blocked.
Transfer
•If voltage is decreased on one side (voltage sag) or lost, then the CB of the main source will be open and simultaneously the CB of the alternative source will be closed
Three transfer mode
•Ultra fast transfer mode From voltage sag to the completion of transfer takes less than 6 cycles. 3 phase outage will be limited within 1 cycle.
• Fast transfer Mode If voltage is lost on one side, then the HSSB will transfer to a healthy feeder as soon as possible, but to avoid damage to the motor load, it checks the voltage of the load side and if it is below 30% of normal, then it permits transfer.
• Normal transfer mode It starts the transfer timing after confirming permanent outage. To distinguish between a temporary fault and a permanent fault, it makes voltage countings and if the countings are the same as the number of trips to lockout of the backup device, it will transfer.
Retransfer mode
During retransfer, there are two retransfer modes
•Close transition If two sources are synchronized, then it will retransfer without outage by closing the main source first and then opening the alternative source. Close transition is only permitted if two sources are synchronized. If it is not synchronized, it operates as an open transition mode.
•Open transition If two sources are not synchronized, then during retransfer, the control will open the alternative source CB first and then will close the CB of the main source.
All in one μ-processor control
2 circuit breaker relays and source transfer functions are performed by one controller. So compared with separate relays and source transfer schemes, the wiring is very simple and the interlock and reliability are much better.

It has a DNP 3.0 protocol and TCP/IP connection port.
