Product Information

Flexible design options and maximum safety

Nowadays, new passenger ships are designed with large open spaces like shopping malls and wellness areas. These areas require special attention with respect to fire protection.

Innovation for modern ship architecture

The Fire Roller Shutters for all open, spacious areas on ferries, yachts, cruise ships, navy vessels and offshore facilities combine optimal fire protection with modern design and maximum reliability. At the same time, the bulkhead closures between these areas should be as indiscernible as possible. Due to the complex technical installations on board modern ships, the provided space is restricted to a minimum for all areas.

Resistant to wind and weather at sea

At sea, large openings must be resistant to strong winds and climatic conditions. This applies to the materials as well as to particularly robust constructions.

The Fire Roller Shutters SlimLine A-O for outdoor use comply with wind class 4. This corresponds to approx. 150 km/h or level 13 of the Beaufort scale.

Our new product series: “SlimLine”

Based on these demands, KAEFER has designed Fire Roller Shutters SlimLine in the fire classes A-6O und A-O. This is an absolute novelty in the shipbuilding world. Compared with conventional types of shutters, the SlimLine series provides significant savings in installation dimensions and weight.

Safety: Fail-safe operation by gravity closing in case of fire, safety strip to prevent injuries

Maintenance: Long lasting with low maintenance

Guide rails: Welded or screwed

Materials: Galvanised steel, stainless steel
