About Beyondi’s Salt
Health authorities in many countries recommend a reduction in salt consumption, however, it must be noted that they are talki ng about refined salt. This is not the same as sea salt. Beyondi salt is a concentration of sea water, and contains less sodium chloride.
Gray salt or Topan salt is the highest grade of Sinan’s solar sea salt, costing at least 20 times more than normal sea salt. It is extremely difficult to harvest as it is farmed on the tide lands, which is why it is referred to as the Top 1% of the world’s salt. Hig hly nutritious after having absorbed large amounts of minerals from the mudflats. the coarse salt goes through a laborious production process that ta kes five times longer than that of the average solar salt. Only a small quantity can be manufactured at a time due to the time it take s f or the salt water to evaporate naturally and the given size of the mudflat. The salt grains are larger and more gray in hue due to this p roc ess. By removing seawater over three years, it is not bitter and less salty. Beyondi was established in 2011 as a premium salt manufacturing plant in the Sinan County of Korea’s South Jeonla Province, where some of the best and largest mudflats in the world are located and among the oldest areas of ‘solar’ sea salt production in Korea.
