Dongtang wood chipper is widely used in the material preparation section in textile, paper, pulp, man-made board and other industries. Its main cutting raw material are peeled small diameter wood, bamboo, slab and harvested secondary fuel wood scraps and other materials.

Wood chipping machine types and application

According to customers different materials types, Dongtang designed two different wood chipping machines.

Drum wood chipper is the type with blades mounted on the cylindrical drum. It usually has rectangle feeding mouth and forced feed device and makes intermittent cutting. It is mainly used for handling small diameter wood, timber harvesting and processing residues (such as branches, slab, slats, round wood core, waste veneer, waste wood, etc.) and also feasible to cut non-wood raw materials (such as sugar cane, reed, bamboo, etc.).? Drum wood chipper is suitable for particleboard, MDF, wood fiberboard, paper, power plants, boilers and other industries.

Disc wood chipper is the type with blades mounted on the disc. It has square feeding mouth, which make raw material piling high, no need of forced feed device. General type disc wood chipper makes intermittent cutting; while multi blades disc wood chipper makes continuous cutting. Disc wood chipper can cut round timber, small diameter wood logs into uniform length, incision smooth, and even thickness high-quality industrial wood chips. It is also feasible to cut wood branches and plates. Disc wood chipper is suitable to be used in paper mills, particleboard mills, fiberboard mills and wood chips production base.
