Ottchil : If a cut is made on the surface of lacquer tree, grayish white milky resin comes out from the cut. It is called “Chil”. “Ottchil” is a quality coat which has been most valued for coating metals or woods from old times. Since it is an eco-friendly and expensive material manufactured in a small quantity, it is mostly used for high-class artworks.
Merits of “Ottchil” are durability, bactericidal property, deodorization, heat resistance, electromagnetic wave absorption, no endocrine-disrupting chemicals contained, high gloss, anticancer compound contained, insulation, insecticidal property, insect repellent, waterproof, and gastrointestinal protection.

Hanji : “Hanji” is a traditional paper made by processing paper mulberry in a method native to Korea. “Hanji”, made of natural stuff including paper mulberry fiber and mulberry fiber by a traditional manufacturing method, has a soft and tough texture of the nature as it is while giving us the liveliness as if breathing alive.
