High Quality High-Performance Novolac Phenolic Resin are polycondesation products of phenol and formaldehyde catalyzed by acid. The polycondesation is brought to completion. The molecular growth of these thermoplastic synthetic resins is limited by addition of substoichiometric amount of the formaldehyde component. Novolac resin cannot cure on their own. However,novolac can be cross-linked by addition of curing agents, such as formaldehyde or hexamethylenetetramine .
