High-Energy soil amendment material can be used in potting soils, germination media and bed preparation. The addition of lava sand increases the water holding capacity of your soil while high PH level (8.5) helps balance your soil by reducing your current soils acidic values. The angular shape and the porous nature of the lava material hold and exchange nutrients effectively and efficiently.

Application Recommendations:

Bed preparation - Till together with topsoil and compost/fertilizer using 40-80 lbs per 1,000 SQFT

Potting Soil - Add 1/3 the volume of good potting soil

Roses - Gently work about 1.4" lava sand into 1" existing soil

Sick Trees - Broadcast under the trees at 40-80 lbs per SQFT. For sicker trees, drill 2" holes 12-18" deep throughout the root zone and fill with 50% lava sand 50% compost
