Maleic Anhydride
│ DESCRIPTION │
Maleic Anhydride is the anhydride of maleic acid(cis-butenedioic acid). It is soluble in acetone, hydrolyzing in water. It is a colourless or white solid with an acrid odour. Maleic Anhydride is used in the manufacture of unsaturated polyester resins, adhesives, paints and lacquers.
│ STORAGE │
MA should be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area away from heat, sunlight, and ignition source. MA should be stored in container provided with fire resistance materials. MA is kept away from strong oxidizers, strong acids, strong bases, ammonia, amines and rubber. Keep containers tightly closed and labeled. Always refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for detailed information on handling and disposal.
