Malabar Carbons Pvt Ltd was established in the year 1986 by Mr.T. Joseph to help Tata Steel meet its carbon brush requirements locally which it was procuring from outside. Owing to the superior quality and performance of the brushes, gradually we began supplying to other Tata concerns like Tata Motors, Tinplate, ISWP and by the year 2000 we were the main supplier of carbon brushes to all Tata concerns in East India including the iron ore mines. From the year 2000 we were approached by several ACC cement plants across the country and today we are meeting the carbon brush requirements of almost all the ACC plants across the country.
