Why is AdBlue® necessary? Nitrogen oxides (NOx) are generated in high temperature by combination of nitrogen and oxygen, which are generally not combined. This generated nitrogen oxides cause smog or acid rain, and is harmful for our body. Exhaust fumes from hot melting pot or incineration plant generating a high temperature were used to be the main cause of nitrogen oxide, however, recently, exhaust from cars and heating for home use have become the serious reason. It is one of the most important issues around the globe to regulate this emission. European emission standards regulate cars to have selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system, together with AdBlue® injection. The strictest standards will come into effect in September 2014: Euro 6.
