Glass Bubbles are lightweight/high-strength hollow glass spheres, used as alternatives to conventional fillers in a variety of paints and specialty coatings, including spackling, caulks, adhesives, roof coatings and more.
These versatile additives are widely used to reduce formulation weight and lower viscosity. But they can also improve abrasion resistance and reduce thermal expansion. Eliminate shrinkage. Provide a better surface for sanding. And allow you to achieve higher filler loadings, to displace high-cost resins – without diminishing product performance.it can increase the finished product 25%-35% when filled with 5% hollow glass microspheres.
Thermal insulation
High Performance Hollow glass microspheres is a unique, patented paint additive that you mix in paint to insulate and reflect heat. During warm summer months It works by reflecting heat and reducing the amount of heat capable of passing into your home through walls, ceilings, and attics. During the cold winter months,It reflects heat back into the living areas of your home instead of allowing the heat to be absorbed by your ceilings and walls where it will be lost out to the cold outside air.

Density
When used to displace an equal weight of mineral filler or pigment, hollow glass spheres will occupy a largervolume than the material they replace. This displaces solvent in the formulated product, thereby reducing VOCs.
Color and Opacity
Hollow glass spheres are uniformly white in color. They can reduce the use of white pigments, such as titaniumdioxide, without loss of whiteness or hiding.
Shape
Spheres have the lowest surface to volume ratio of any particle shape. Hence, they exhibit the lowest resindemand. In addition, they act like little ball bearings, contributing to easier application and enhanced flow andleveling.
Inert Composition
Hollow glass spheres will not dissolve in water or react with solvents, organic chemicals, acids oralkalis.
Strength
The high crush resistance of Hollow glass spheres enables them to be processed in conventional mixing anddispersing equipment.
Enhanced Physical Properties
The high surface hardness and inert composition of glass spheres serve to impart wear, stain and chemicalresistance to the finished product. Hollow spheres are also available with resin specific coupling agent coatings.

Application:
1.High solid industry coating: low viscosity, high filling quantity, reduce VOC, improve hardness, control luster, increase the abrasion resistance, spray ability;
2.Water-solubility industry final coating: increase the solid content, low penetrability of coat, improve the anticorrosive, hardness, inertia and abrasion resistance, control luster.
3.Powder coating: improve the liquidity, hardness, abrasion resistance, control luster, reduce the cost;
4.Coil steel paint: flexibility, abrasion resistance, control the luster, high solid content, low the cast;
5.Paint base: improve the salt spray, temperature and chemistry resistance, increase the solid content and low the cost;
6.Construction paint: durability, brushability, higher PVC, increase the non-transparency, improve the antifriction, homogeneity of luster.
7.Refractory paint: it can be used in water paint, oily paint, refractory paint, heat preservation paint, it can improve the thickness and refractory temperature of coat, reduce the brush times.
