Product Information

Product description

A 5-wire resistive touch screen is coated with a thin metallic, electrically conductive and resistive layer that causes a change in the electrical current that is registered as a touch event and sent to the controller for processing.
Resistive touch panels are generally more affordable, but offer only 75% clarity and the layer can be damaged by sharp objects.
On the other hand, resistive touch screens are not affected by elements, such as dust or water.
Generally, in the analog resistive technology, the top layer acts as a probe that detects the other axis (X or Y).

However, wearing out the top layer may degrade the linearity and the accuracy of detecting the coordinates.
The 5-wire resistive technology complements such weak points and vulnerabilities.

As shown above, 5-wire technology utilizes the bottom substrate for both the X and Y axes for potential measurements. All the electrodes are placed on the bottom layer and the top layer acts only as a voltage-measuring probe.
This basic design difference of the structure leads to a much more durable and stable characteristics, which allows the screens to work properly even with non-uniformity on the top layer's conductive coating.
Advantages of the INO 5R -Enhanced accuracy, superior performance and durability.
-Finger, gloved hand and pen all possible for data entering.
-Strong resistance to external static electricity and noise in poor conditions -Clean original images by using films with excellent transmission

Company introduction

Inotouch was established in May 2000. As a manufacturer of products using touch screen technology, Inotouch has developed 5-wire resistive touch screens and capacitive touch screens for the first time in Korea. Moreover, the companys resolve and determination allows it to further develop even newer types of touch screens.

Inotouch is also one of the few companies in the world that produce both 5-wire resistive and capacitive touch screens, which are the most widely used touch technologies. The quality of Inotouchs touch sensors and controllers for the 5-W resistive and capacitive is the same as that of Elo and 3M in a more reasonable prices. Inotouch is even set to develop even more advanced devices based on its accumulated know-how and aims to become a leading company through continuous technology development.

As a touch monitor assembler, Inotouch supplies an extensive range of Open Frame LCDs assembled with Inotouch 5-wire resistive and capacitive touch screens suitable for almost any application. Fully assembled products are available for most sizes of LCD monitors and touch monitors. A touch screen monitor is identical to the manufacturer's product with the exception of an additional serial connector usually located at the rear. All products are supplied with mouse driver emulation software for Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP, Linux, DOS or Mac OS, with a quick and simple installation procedure.

The origin of the Inotouch competitive power is its excellent production system, efficient management and advanced technology and manufacturing capabilities that can respond to any customer's requirements.
