OPTOWELL has offered GaAs-based VCSEL wafers (on 3" GaAs), suitable for oxidation or ion-implantation processes. The wafers can be used to create a range of arrays, e.g. 1x4 and 1x12 and 2-dimensional matrix devices with speeds up to 4.25 Gb/s for each device.

Optowell 's MOCVD systems use a monitoring and control process to allow uniform, consistent and high-yield growth. Because they have a thickness variation of less than 0.6 %, the wafers are suited for one- and two-dimensional VCSEL and PIN PD arrays for applications such as digital media, household electronic appliances, OA equipment, laser printer, automobile, high speed PCB, mobile communication, computer, display, laser pen & mouse, high sensitive sensor, and medical or bio instrument, etc.
