- According to the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), over 70% of traffic accidents result from side collision, and over 40% of children seating on the backseat die from side collision.

ESIP®(Enhanced Side Impact Protection)

In order to protect the head and body of the child from side crashes (the case in 70% of total car accidents), we designed a side protection wing ('W') that maintains side depth.
Side protection is intensified using the same material as is used for the head rest. In order to maintain side depth from the CAE(computer aided engineering) design stage, "All-in-one" W-Protection is fortified to ensure that the head and body of the child passenger will be
protected from side impacts in the event of an accident.

AHS(Advace Headrest System)

AHS perfectly protects the child's head by adopting a 5-layer protective cushion (Body frame→Air seat→Cover cushion→Head frame→Air seat). Height can be adjusted to keep pace with the child's growth. The head frame reinforces the protective wing at the head of the "all-in-one" body frame

Side impact experiment using 24kg pendulum at 9km/h

The result of experiment conducted by BB LAB on the side impact showed that the amount of impact caused by side collision a child receives on the head while seating on the Air Car Seat is reduced by 40% (max.) compared to that of a child seating on the Non-Air Car Seat.

- It can be confirmed through the above experiment result that AIR Car Seat better protects children's lives from the side collision accidents that take up 70% of vehicle accidents.

Report

According to a report presented by KoROAD (Korea Road Traffic Authority) in 2009 on the vehicle vs.vehicle accident type, the side right-angle collision accidents took up 52.78% out of the total of 170,000 accidents. Adding the number of collision accidents that occurred while driving or when parked/stopped increases the percentage of side collision vehicle to vehicle accidents to 70%.
