Heater glass(anti-fog glass) is produced by chemical vapor deposition processing which coats the glass with a thin film of transparent oxide semiconductor at elevating temperatures. The coating layer is wear-resistant, heat-resistant, nonflammable, and chemical resistant. Its electrical resistivity could be controlled to match with customers’ requirements. The range could be monitored between 50 and 5000Ω∕⎕. Since the glass is conductive, it has the function to reflect the heat rays from the environment to some extent.

Defrosting glass could prevent the condensation of water on the glass surface even when there is a temperature difference between two sides of the glass. Therefore, they have been used in a variety of applications including the defrost doors or windows for cooler, refrigerator, freezer, show case, cold room, and temperature and moisture testing machine. These defrosting products are of insulating glass. They are an assembly composed of one pane of conductive glass, one or more panes of ordinary glass, and aluminum tube spacer. The tube spacer is filled with granules of drier to adsorb the moisture in the space between panels. The conductive glass shall be located facing the hot outside whereas the ordinary glass be located facing the cold inside. If the electricity is applied on the conductive glass, the glass surface will be warmed up so that moisture will not condense on the outset surface.
