The V-5 is a continuously operating compressor that automatically adjusts displacement to match vehicle air conditioning demand under various conditions without cycling.
GENERAL FEATURES OF V-5 DESIGN FEATURES :
- Displacement Is varied from maximum displacement(See Options of V-5) to10cc by changing the wobble plate angle.
- The control valve is built into the rear head. (Clutch cycling switch is e~mlnated.)
- Die cast aluminum construction for minimum weight.
- Unique lubrication system uses crank-case suction bleed routed through the wobble plate.
CONTROL CONCEPT :
- Compressor senses evaporator load and changes displacement to match the load.
- Gas pressure method of displacement control.
- Lowers control pressure as ambient temperatures increase.
