Product Information
NGVIis converting and supplying vehicles equipped with bi-fuel systems, which allow engines to run on both natural gas and gasoline. With rising oil prices and the increasing global need to reduce harmful vehicle emissions, the case for alternative fuels has become an imperative one for all. NGVI’s mission is to pass down a clean environment to the next generation, chiey through converting and supplying vehicles fuelled by clean natural gas.
In addition to private cars, there is also a plan in the near future for taxis to run on biogas with NGVI technology.
NGVI has developed the market for CNG buses, garbage trucks, passenger cars in Korea and other parts of Asia. The next phase is to provide various company products and total NGV solutions to the international market.
(1) CNG Mini-bus
The CNG mini-bus can be operated as a bi-fuel or CNG-dedicated, as well as LPG. The very rst CNG mini-bus was developed by NGVI. With these conversions, city buses and diesel mini-buses can reduce the exhaust pollutants and increase fuel eciency.
They also provide a smoother ride than diesel buses.
(2) CNG Truck
NGVI developed the existing diesel and LPG trucks to run on CNG. The bi-fuel system allows the driver to switch between the two kinds of fuels (CNG/Gasoline or CNG/LPG) while driving. Currently, the SDA system of the 3.5-ton truck is in development for the Southeast Asia market.
(3) BARE CHASSIS
Various engines can be installed in various bare chassis at the customers’ request. They can select the engine capacity and fuel system type (bi-fuel or dedicated). Based on the market situation, the customer can choose a mini-bus or truck body to be mounted on to the bare chassis.
(4), (5), (6) - The initial import of GMC vehicles like Colorado, Chevy, and Savana for the Korean market will be converted to bi-fuel with potential export to the U.S. Our target is aimed at the development of a complete NGV for the worldwide market.

NGVs are the cleanest, most environmentally friendly vehicles. The exhaust emissions from a typical NGV are significantly lower than those from gasoline-powered vehicles. Dedicated NGVs produce little to no evaporative emissions during fueling and operation. The carbon dioxide (CO2) levels are almost 25 percent below those of gasoline vehicles. NGVs only produce one-sixth of the NOx of comparable diesel engines. Natural gas vehicles reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 20-29 percent, compared to diesel and asoline fueled vehicles respectively. Use of NGVs is the most effective method to prevent further effects of global warming.
The main principal ingredient of natural gas is CH4. Bio-methane is produced from municipal waste, animal manure, organic wastewater, sewage, etc. While NGVs do emit methane, another principal greenhouse gas, any increase in methane emissions is more than offset by a substantial reduction in CO2 emissions compared to other fuels. Natural gas is the most practical alternative energy that we can develop with the methane hydrate deposit at the bottom of the ocean near Dokdo.
