What is Light Guide Plate (LGP)?
LGP is the product with the best physical properties among acrylics which receives the light emitted from a lamp by using the transparent panel made from a resin called PMMA, and disperses the light evenly over the whole area of the panel through the pattern of a certain area and shape deposited on the acrylic surface.
Principle of LGP
The principle of LGP is that a certain source of light is inserted into LGP and the light is diffused to the desirable extent. (Same as the size of LGP)
However if the light leaves simply as it is, it make only surroundings of the light bright. Therefore it is the core technology of LGP to make the light far away from the lamp similar to the light around the lamp by printing dots on LGP in a special ink.
This controls the size of dot and content of photocatalyst containing in the ink and diffuses the light evenly in LGP by using the diffused reflection of light exposed to the relative dots.
