Petnow app works as an innovative method of identification for dogs that can overcome shortcomings of traditional systems, namely microchip implementation or tags, which have concerns of pain, side effects, or loss. This can be achieved with biometrics as noses do not wear out and remain unchanged over time.

It can also be used in conjunction with other pet-related services for identifying dogs with their owners when care is needed remotely, and more affordable pet insurance can be provided in coalition with insurance companies for families with dogs if simplified identification processes become more common in the future.

Petnow app can help solve issues associated with stray dogs that are lost or abandoned that are not registered on existing systems, mainly due to inconvenience, cost, and refusal of microchip implementation by owners. People living with dogs will be able to join and register their beloved dogs within minutes, and in the event of missing, those lost dogs with records on our system will be able to be returned to their owners when found and matched.

Petnow Inc. has successfully published 1 research paper on IEEE Access on March 2021 regarding nose print identification of dogs using deep neural networks, which boasts an identification accuracy of up to 99%, and has filed 4 patents in Korea with proposal of automated photography for delivering the highest accuracy possible.
