Product Information

The Optical Q™ D-Dimer diagnostic test is a proprietary point-of-care (POCT) fluorescence immunoassay (FIA) designed for prompt and accurate in-vitro quantitative measurement of D-Dimer.

D-Dimer, containing two D fragments of the fibrin protein joined by a cross-link, is a fibrin degradation product (FDP), which is a small protein fragment present in the blood after a blood clot is degraded by fibrinolysis.

The Optical Q™ D-Dimer reagent test is thus helping diagnose conditions that cause inappropriate blood clots such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), and to monitor treatment of DIC and excessive clotting conditions.

Company introduction

OptiBio is a South Korean in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) company focused in researching, developing, and manufacturing cutting edge fluorescence immunoassay (FIA) solutions. In 2020, OptiBio was selected by a research fund sponsored by the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation for its unique and dedicated approach to immunoassay.

OptiBio's competitive advantage stems from its strong foundation of experts, each specialized in fields crucial for product development. Our R&D is divided into 3 different teams of scientists and engineers dedicated to the independent development of diagnostic markers, test kits, and analyzers.

Our fundamental approach to in-house specialization allows OptiBio to constantly improve our product performance, customize our solutions based on client feedback, develop new test parameters, and respond to changing market needs.
