Since the ancient times, Elk, the largest type of deer in the world, has been regarded as sacred, and in particular, the Nordic people have believed that the Elk’s horn and skin bring good luck. Elks live primarily in the wilderness of Northern Europe. To sustain the natural balance of the elk population, elk hunting is strictly regulated at national level, and only authorized personnel are allowed to hunt them, resulting in limited amount of elk leather available for manufacturing.
