Product Information
Organic Maca Powder
We grow our own maca root in the Junin region of
Peru. Thus far we have planted 25
hectares of land, which should equate to a yield of approximately 35 tonnes of
finished product by December of 2016. We hope to expand this in 2017 to a
total 100 tonne yield of finished product.
Being directly involved on the ground throughout
the process, we are able to test the product at various stages. By doing this we
are able to maintain, not only high glucosinolate and amino acid levels but
also a pleasant sweet taste attained by maximum exposure to natural sunshine.
We have long established contact within the maca
growing region if our demand exceeds what we can currently grow.
We can provide this product by full containers as yellow maca or in smaller quantities as gelatinised or separated as black or red maca.

Selva Organic Foods Ltd is a supplier of highly nutritional superfoods and wholefoods.
We have been involved with the growing, sourcing, processing, packaging and marketing superfoods since 2013 and ultimately aim to offer any specification and quantity of Peruvian superfoods as well as other superfoods from around the world.
We run farming and processing operations out of Peru, where we are in the position of being the only UK superfoods supplier which is directly responsible for every step in the supply chain for certain products (i.e maca, chia and cacao).

Our goal is to supply affordable, high quality, superfoods directly from Peru to the worldwide market.
In order to achieve this goal Selva Organic has a 4-point plan:
· Continuing to secure further farming locations for maca, cacao, chia amongst other superfood crops throughout Peru as well as constantly searching for nutrient rich products from around the globe to add to our catalogue.
· Increasing our presence in the UK market in 2016, by partnering with strategic clients.
· To leverage our cost advantage as producers. We aim to make our products as affordable as possible for consumers without ever compromising on quality.
· To contribute a percentage of our profits to organizations which will have a positive impact on the farming communities with which we work.
