Product Description

• In most species diversity in angiosperms, one embryo develops in a single seed. But, in polyembryony citrus varieties, the nucellar embryo alongside the zygotic embryo develop by apomixes process in a single seed. The nucellar embryo develops in the nucellar tissue of the ovule surrounding the embryo sac and became widely known that is genetically uniform and identical to the mother tree. The nucellar embryo decreased cross-breeding efficiency. Therefore, DNA molecular marker is highly required for easily-identifying nucellar embryo and zygotic embryo in the crossbreeding.
