Our chief engineer’s career spans 47 years in the pump industry, holder of many patents relating to Sewage, Grinder-Pumps, and level controls.Worked on Grinder Pumps during early 1960’s, the beginning of the low pressure Sewer Grinder market, at that time there were only 2 major companies manufacturing grinder pumps during this time period. One company utilized progressive cavity design; the second company utilized conventional centrifugal designs.In the early 1970’s co-developed the single stage cutter design with a “vortex” centrifugal impeller that has since been imitated by most all present companies that offer a Grinder Pump along with a vortex designed impeller. The Asian pump mfg.’s now imitate this grinding concept.In the early 1970’s the co-development by our chief engineer of the vortex centrifugal impeller concept was pioneered that did not infringe on the vortex patents that were in force during this time period. This allowed the whole industry to start utilizing the vortex centrifugal concept without having to pay a licensing fee, the rest is history. There is a vortex unit offered in most all pump companies product lines today.In mid 2004 a revolutionary new 2 stage vortex centrifugal concept for a Grinder Pumps or Sewage Pumps was developed and patented by our chief engineer. The Grinder Pump utilizing 2 stage design has allowed engineers to expand their designs for the low pressure Sewer projects, allowing higher discharge heads that exceed present day designs of the progressive cavity units, but more important the 2 stage centrifugal design offers higher scrubbing velocities, so necessary for efficient movement of the macerated solids in the effluent which causes frequent line clogging, this relates to lowering operation and maintenance costs, which is so often overlooked in project initial concept.In early 2005 the 2 hp. 115 volt single phase Grinder Pump was developed that worked, has now been imitated by other pump companies in so short a time span, another example of the innovation that is a hall mark of our product line. Imitation is the highest compliment that can be paid to a company.Our product line has expanded 2 hp. To 15 hp. Grinder Pumps, our Sewage and Effluent Pumps 1/3 hp. To 25 hp. In vortex and 2 vanes non clog centrifugal designs.
