Product Information
The Sequenom MassARRAY® System offers MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry for high accuracy and sensitivity, robust chemistry for reproducible results, and advanced data analysis software to meet the needs of any genomic laboratory. This system utilizes a homogenous Mass-Extend (hME – single base extension) reaction termed iPLEX GOLD, for analysis of SNPs in multiplex format. Following the Mass-Extend reaction, oligonucleotides are printed onto specialized Spectro CHIPs and analyzed by the Sequenom mass spectrometer. The mass spectrometer provides a high level of sensitivity, capable of detecting allele frequencies as low as 3% on average.
