UNS S32205 is a duplex stainless steel grade. It owns the combined characteristic of austenitic and ferritic steel:
● Excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride environment
● High resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion
● Good resistance to erosion corrosion and corrosion fatigue
● Very high mechanical strength
● Good weldability
S32205 has the excellent corrosion property, so it is a highly suitable material for service under grim environment, containing chlorides and hydrogen sulphide.
