The 'Heavy Mirror', designed so that it must be placed face down, solves this problem. The mirror is attached to the bottom face of a hemisphere providing utility only when needed. It also functions as an effective papaerweight. 'Heavy Mirror' is a practical and interesting object serving as both a mirror and paperweight and waterglobe.
Korea's traditional stationery items comprise the 'four precious things for the study', and are reinterpreted here, with a contemporary touch, reborn as desk object. The technical value and significance of these 'four precious things for the study' are reflected in the stationery of present times. Rather than functioning simply as tools for which only their use and practicality are emphasized, these object provide the user with unconventional pleasures through their textures, characteristics, and aesthetic qualities.
