[Uigwe on the Wedding of King Weongjo and Queen Jeongsun Joseon Dynasty, 1759, two-page, manuscript 45.8 × 33cm]

Garedogam Uigwe is a royal protocol that recorded the details of wedding arrangements for a second marriage of 66-year old King Yeongjo with 15-year old Queen Jeongsun in 1759. It elaborates their marriage preparation process from selection of a queen candidate to the official wedding ceremony by adding illustration. Espectially at the end of the book, Banchado(royal procession illustration) sketched the snapshots of wedding scenes including how guests are dressed, what ceremonial flags and horses look like, and the shape and position of palanquines, etc.
