Introduction

FESTEC's 3 Meter Smoke Density Tester is the testing equipment measuring the smoke generated when the cable or optical cable is placed horizontally and burn under definite fire resource in the specified condition (3m³ chamber required by IEC61034). This equipment is important to measure the smoke generation from the value of light source penetration through the smoke generated when the cable exposed to the specified standard fire source (ethanol 90±1%, methanol 4±1% and distilled water 6±1%) 1L±0.01L is burned.

Features

• It consists of cubic enclosure of 3000mm±30mm inside chamber area with the appropriate material fastened to the steel angle frame.
• The door has the inspection glass window, and on the opposite two sides, a sealed and transparent window (minimum 100mm x 100mm) to transmit the light from the horizontal optical measurement system.
• The enclosure is designed so that it is not directly exposed to the sun or has large temperature changed.
• The photocell and light source are installed to be exposed to center of two windows on two walls across the cube. They are designed to have no physical contact.
• A lamp is installed to supply a certain amount of light.
• Reduction of light by smoke is measured using the photocell.
• It is designed to mount the various filters to verify the light flux appropriate for the change and measurement of emitting light to the light source side.
• The support system is provided to mount the light source and photocell on the outer wall.
• The light source is the halogen lamp with the clean crystal light bulb and tungsten filament.
• The standard power is 100W, standard voltage DC 12V, standard speed of light 2000lm~3000lm, and standard color temperature is 2,800K ~ 3,200K.
• The receptor photocell is made of selenium or silicon that features the spectrum conforming to photonic observer of CIE.
• The heating system is installed inside the cube to quickly reach the specified temperature (25°C±5°C) in the initial test. (Blank test)
• The auto ignition function ensures safety and convenience for test.
• For use PCB is simple for maintenance of parts, and maintenance cost reduction (As change PCB Board, it gives to user maintenance by themselves and cost reduction.)
