SmartXessTM XCAS(eXchangeable CAS)/iCAS(interchangeable CAS) is a downloadable access system which
supports for implementing downloaded CAS module from digital cable and IPTV platform.

XCAS system could be applied to digital cable environment and iCAS system could be applied to IPTV
environment. XCAS/iCAS provides security function to securely download CAS client image from server system
to a device so that access control function could be operated at a safe location.

XCAS/iCAS guarantees mobility and scalability to compare with existing CAS system (Embedded and CableCard).
CAS image is downloaded from XCAS/iCAS server to a device and therefore broadcasters can secure a flexible
CAS operation with lower cost.
