ALTOSPLINT
ALTOSPLINT™ is intended for the emergency and temporary use in the immobilization of fractures, joints, post-operation or strains and sprains. Specific application suitability should be the responsibility of a qualified, on-site medical professional. ALTOSPLINT™ is a synthetic orthopedic product. Its outside pads are polyester non-woven fabric for cushioning and the inside is non-woven or fiberglass or polyester substrate impregnated with water-activated polyurethane resin for weight bearing. Exposure to any moisture will cause the tape to harden and become rigid.
