The design of PCA shape, is the first step to be
considered in the production. It is not only to ensure that molding is easy,
also to meet the requirements of arc tube packaging and lifetime. Based on the
study of the theory of the foreign latest technology, we got a certain
understanding about the complex process of plasma discharge when CMH working,
then simulated modeling experiment through computer, balanced the relationship
between forming and lifetime. We caculated and designed PCA diameter, electrode
tube length, R radian and thickness, and fully considered discharge inside
volume, internal surface area and wall load, finalized the dimensions of our
PCA.
