InnoMedia's EMTA 7528-2WB is a residential gateway with an integrated DOCSIS™ 2.0 Cable Modem with 2 voice ports designed for cable operators offering high quality primary line voice services to residential or SoHo customers.

The EMTA 7528-2WB allows users to share their broadband connection throughout their SOHO network by allowing PCs to be connected to either the built-in switch, or the 802.11n Wi-Fi access point which acts as a residential gateway.

The built-in DHCP server automatically assigns IP addresses to devices on the network, whereas the NAT and firewall capabilities provide simultaneous Internet access for multiple PCs. With Multiple-SSIDs, service providers could offer the device for Hot-spot service offering.

The EMTA 7528-2WB supports both MGCP/NCS and SIP protocols, and is compliant with most major VoIP Softswitch or Call Agents. It supports fax, and has voice support that includes hardware based Quality of Service (WoS), voice compression of popular voice codecs, echo cancellation, dynamic jitter buffer, silence suppression, and comfort noise generation.
