Product Information

Features of N2 PSA Generator

  • Compact system with simple structure through optimum design
  • Fully automated unattended operation by the electronic control
  • Since the nitrogen can be produced on site using the compressed air, it is not affected by the delivery delay or nitrogen price change of high priced liquid nitrogen.
  • The system can be customized according to the user requirements about nitrogen purity, production rate and gas delivery pressure, etc. (95~99.9999%, 1-600Nm3/Hr)
  • CMS, the absorbent used in gas separation, can be semi-permanently used.
  • There is no need to have it managed by the dedicated safety personnel or to keep the gas container since it is operated at low pressure and not subject to the High Pressure Management Act.

Reasons the On-Site Nitrogen Generators Must Be Selected

  • If you use two or more nitrogen cylinders per week, the cost of a nitrogen generator can be recouped within 1 year and 6 months.
  • Since it uses the compressed air, the high purity nitrogen gas can be produced at low cost.
  • The nitrogen generator can be semi-permanently used by just regularly maintaining the air preparation unit.
  • There is no need to have it managed by the dedicated safety personnel since it is operated at low pressure and not subject to the High Pressure Management Act.
  • There is no need to worry about possible delay of nitrogen gas delivery and no need to keep the nitrogen gas cylinder

Pressure Swing Adsorption(PSA) Technology
A PSA system can separate the gas compounds by using the difference of adsorption force of the various chemical compounds (adsorbent) to each gas. In the gas separation process, the compressed air passes through the molecular sieve layer composed of crystals with small pores and the gases are adsorbed to the sieve by the adsorbent while the gas to be separated is freely passed through the layer.

In the PSA nitrogen generator, the moisture controlled, compressed air is charged to two or more adsorption towers packed with the adsorbent called CMS (Carbon Molecular Sieve). Then compression →adsorption → decompression → purge steps are repeated to continuously produce the high purity nitrogen CMS is made of the bark of palm tree and has many pores of 4A. Since the outer diameter of the oxygen molecule is 3.8A and that of nitrogen molecule is around 4.2A, the system uses the principle of oxygen quickly being adsorbed first due to the difference in diameter. Therefore it is important to select the product that maintains a certain compression temperature and has the uniform sized pores in order to produce high purity nitrogen.

Five Reasons the On-Size Nitrogen Generator Must Be Selected

  • If you use two or more nitrogen cylinders per week, the cost of a nitrogen generator can be recouped within 1 year and 6 months.
  • Since it uses the compressed air, the high purity nitrogen gas can be produced at low cost.
  • The nitrogen generator can be semi-permanently used by just regularly maintaining the air preparation unit.
  • There is no need to have it managed by the dedicated safety personnel since it is operated at low pressure and not subject to the High Pressure Management Act.
  • There is no need to worry about possible delay of nitrogen gas delivery and no need to keep the nitrogen gas cylinder.

Electrical components and connections meet CE standards.
All pressure vessels are designed to meet ASME code(Section VIII, Div. 1).

Membrane Type Nitrogen Generator

Gas separation using the membrane applies the principle of selective gas permeation of the membrane. The substance of the membrane determines the relative solubility and transmittance of each gas component. For the membrane type nitrogen generator, polyimide or polysulfone is used.

The membrane type nitrogen generator from WON Hi Tech uses a hollow fiber gas separation membrane which transmits more oxygen than nitrogen. In other words, when the compressed air is passed through the polyimide hollow fiber membrane, the nitrogen, which passed relatively more slowly, is passed through the high pressure side (inside of the membrane) while the oxygen is passed through the low pressure side (outside of the membrane) and discharged to the atmosphere.

Features of Membrane Type Nitrogen Generator

  • Nitrogen is simply produced from dry compressed air.
  • No noise is generated as the adsorption/recovery cycle is not needed.
  • Light weight and smaller size require less space for installation.
  • It can be arranged horizontally or vertically.
  • No power is needed for the nitrogen generator module.

Company introduction

Since its foundation in 1993, WON Hi Tech Corp. has acquired a patent (no. 10-0861550) for gas separation technology using PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption), based on relentless R&D and extensive experience in the field. This was followed by the in-house development and provision of industrial oxygen generators and nitrogen generators to customers worldwide. The electrical stability of the equipment is guaranteed by CE certification; the durability of the equipment has been improved by using parts which conform to the international standard; and cost efficiency is assured by the higher gas production rate to input air volume. In addition to our oxygen generators and nitrogen generators, WON Hi Tech Corp. manufactures and supplies ozone gas generators, ozone dissolving systems, ozone analyzers, and gas and water monitors. WON Hi Tech Corp. will never cease striving to become the world's most renowned manufacturer of gas generators under our motto of 'creativity, Challenge, and Team Work'
