Actigen

* Introduction
- Actigen® is 3-Amino-propyl dihydrogen phosphate(3-APPA), that has a similar structure to GABA(r-aminobutyric acid), which is a neurotransmitter and a biochemical messenger in the living organism. The development of 3-APPA was based on the fact that phosphate group would be more readily suitable for the skin membrane than the carboxylic acid group.

- Actigen is an efficient, clinically proven Anti-aging agent that enhances the proliferation of the human fibroblasts and increases the collagen synthesis.

* Introduction
- It is very popular to use Vitamin groups to cosmetic products. In cosmetic formulation, the natural Vitamin E works for the protection of skin from UV, equalization of the moisture balance, improvement of the look of skin and also resists against the aging process. However, these efficacy of Vitamin E is not applicable to a wide range of products and also, as a natural anti-oxidation agent, Vitamin E does not have a high stability and solubility.

- For these defects of the material, many researchers have been studied chemically-transformed Vitamin E derivatives such as Tocopherol Acetate. * Introduction

- Menthol has local anesthetic and counterirritant qualities, and it is widely used to relieve minor throat irritation. It has an antibacterial effect as well.

- Since the menthol has a lot of useful effects, its application range is wide: toothpaste, jam, candy, tobacco, etc. However, menthol has not been widely used in cosmetics due to its strong odor and eye irritating aspect.

- To overcome this problem, there have been many studies to prepare the menthol derivatives.
For example, ester derivative of menthol has an effect of reducing the strong smell and eye irritation, but as well as its useful effects have also reduced.

- Through the research to reduce the defects of menthol as an cosmetic ingredient while maintaining the useful effects of it, we obtained this derivative from Phospho-diester of menthol and 3-aminopropylphosphoric acid, which is used as a component for anti-aging cosmetic.

- Furthermore, this menthol derivative can be easily decomposed inside of the human body by the enzyme, and exhibits both the physiological activities of menthol and the 3-aminopropylphosphoric acid.
