It is generally used in oil refining, petrochemical,chemical and natural gas applications for hydroprocessing,hydrotreating,as well as dehydration etc. The product is often used in fixed bed reactors where a temperature range of 100°C to 500°C.   Inert ceramic ball is also common in most of desulphurization systems used by oil refineries. It is a standard item for the desulphurization process. The predominant qualities are its low pressure drop, excellent compressive strength and good resistance to thermal shock.
